| A series of 52 paintings of modern images of Northwest Indiana builds upon the grand tradition of the original South Shore posters from the 1920's. These new images capture the spirit of a "Region in Renaissance" by showing a thriving and diverse 21st century community in the style of the 1920's posters. Each painting is sponsored and posters are available.
Between 1925-1929, some of the best-loved posters in America were commissioned by Midland Utilities to promote tourism and economic development via the South Shore line in Northwest Indiana. The campaign unfortunately stopped, but many of these posters survive in collections around the world. A limited number of these classics are available.
Following the Millennium South Shore Poster Campaign, the Four Seasons will be released. The Four Seasons will consist of "Spring," "Summer," "Fall," and "Winter" in the spectacular and globally significant Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park. Each painting is sponsored and posters will be available after 2001.
After 2002, a new series of South Shore paintings will be commissioned and posters released. Each painting will show a modern day scene of industry or nature, recreation or quality communities within Northwest Indiana. This campaign will continue the tradition of the original South Shore posters, now recreated in the Millennium Posters.. Posters of the 2000 Series will be available after 2002.
